Just before Ry and I decided to get married and have kids, we thought to take a spin around the world. One last fling, so to speak.
We started off in Atlanta, in the good old U S of A, home to Ry’s paternal grandparents. And a short drive from Papa’s home lay New Echota, the capital of the Cherokee Nation prior to their forced removal in the 1830s.
As you can see the day was glorious. Since the park was closed we jumped fence to get in and, it being the only day we’d get to see the place, were quite put out when we got the move along by a ranger. So sad, since there was so much I would have loved to have seen.
But, we did manage a few snaps. And a stop off for fresh peaches and pecans on the drive home.
